Clouds

While we were cycling to a friend yesterday I've made some nice cloud pictures in the countryside. Of course we didn't make it all the way without getting wet. But I can't complain, I love this weather after all! :)

Fungus in August

It's been a rainy August and a rainy holiday for us. But I really don't mind. I long for Autumn! It's my favorite season and the heat of last July is not my favorite weather. But because of the many rain there are already a lot of fungi to be found.

Summer Holiday

Well my summer holiday is here at last. The weather is not to bad either, it's much cooler and a bit of rain now and again, which I don't mind at all! Not that I'm going away or anything, just the thought of not having to work for the next two weeks should be relaxing enough. I say should because I always need time to adjust the first few days.
And what do I do on my first day? I have already washed my windows (even though it was supposed to rain) and now I'm sitting at my laptop. I really need to think of what it was I wanted to do... Relax, read loads of books and go away on some daytrips by train. But for now... Just go with the flow...

Visit to Grave

When mum turned 70 last March my sis and I gave her a card. On it were 10 daytrips to determine by herand for sis and me to pay of course. We already have gone on two because of the extreme hot summer weather we're having the third one is put off.

The last one we went to a town where we used to live as children. My dad was a military man so we moved a few times and in this old town we've lived for six years. It changed a bit but not too much.
Grave is a fortress town and the river Maas (Meuse) is streaming along side it.

Thursday Challenge: Shadows

This Thursdays Challenge is all about: "SHADOWS" (Of Trees, People,...)

I may have posted this picture before, but not the one that followed this love birds heart shaped shadow. It's almost as if the pigeons made a 'we rock' shadow in the second one. Made in a London park in May 2013.

Thursday Challenge: Flowers

It's been a while since I've participated with the Thursday Challenge due to personal circomstances but I will try to post one or two photos every week from now on.

This week's challenge: FLOWERS (All Kinds, All Colors,...)

 The Passion Flower that I planted 3 years ago in my garden next to the Clematis didn't bloom at all. Untill this year. And now I'm getting a few gorgeous flowers every day.

If it quacks like a duck...

I'm sorry that I haven't been more on this blog. And yes I'm writing in English now. I have a lot of English readers from Twitter among other things and most of us Dutch can read/speak English so I'm hoping they don't mind the English.

It's been a while but that's due to some personal issues.
I am hoping I can pick it up surely but slowly however.

Not sure about the Thursday challenges though, I'm not taking photos that much anymore. But I will try.

When my mum had her 70 year old birthday my sis and I gave her nearly a dozen day trips to be filled in at her convenience. That's a nice way to take the camera along and make pictures.

The last one was a trip to a town where we used to live as kids (sis and I ) Mum and sis hadn't been there in ages and wanted to see the town again. A lovely old little town it still is.
I will post the photos of the town later but first these photos of ducks: they were following sis around who was feeding them so I could take pictures.

Keukenhof

Afgelopen week ben ik voor het eerst van mijn leven in de Keukenhof geweest. Wat een geweldige plek! Prachtig!
Mijn moeder was 70 geworden en zus en ik hadden haar een aantal dagjes uit cadeau gedaan waaronder de Keukenhof. Dagtocht nr 1 van nog veel te volgen tochtjes: Hier alvast een paar van de ruim 200 foto's die ik gemaakt heb:

Zonsondergang

Op het moment heb ik niet veel tijd  meer voor mijn blogs. Of maak ik niet veel tijd meer voor mijn blogs beter gezegd. Ik doe andere dingen dan fotograferen, of bloggen. Ik schrijf veel en ik doe iets anders als ik mijn laptop aan heb. Maar gisteren waren we een met de trein naar mijn moeder geweest en op de terugweg kleurde de lucht prachtig oranje/geel. Gelukkig had ik wel mijn Iphone met camera bij de hand:
