Aan zee

Afgelopen zondag had ik een neven-en nichtendag. Mijn neven vonden dat we elkaar maar eens moesten zien bij een leuke gelegenheid ipv alleen op uitvaarten. Normaal blijft het bij een leuk idee maar gelukkig kwam het ook bij een gezellig samenzijn. Omdat de helft in Zeeland woont en de andere helft in Brabant werd het Zeeland dit keer dus de Brabanders togen naar Zeeland en ja hoor, ze hebben echt gelijk; het slechte weer trekt daar echt over!
Het was prachtig mooi weer! Zus en zwager haalden ons op in Breda op het station en we reden gevieren richting Zeeland, eerst even de zeelucht opsnuiven. Daarna een gezellig etentje met de neven en nichten plus aanhang. Voor herhaling vatbaar dus!

A day at the sea

It was a long time since I had been at the seaside. When we went to the Dutch coast last week it was a windy day with lots of clouds, just the way I like it. It had been a warm couple of days so the water was just right for just paddling. Which I did of course! I now know I never want to wait that long again. We live a long drive away from the sea but I loved it!

Thursday Challenge; Peaceful

Today's Thursday Challenge is all about PEACEFUL (Calm, Relaxed, Sleeping, Landscapes, Water,...)

On our Edinburgh trip my sister and I went for a walk along the water of Leith. I read about Dean Village and how lovely it was supposed to be. So on a gorgeous day with blue skies and plenty of sunshine to go around we walked along a wonderful and peaceful river of Leith. If you go to Edinburgh one day yourself we highly recomend it! It's gorgeous!

Summer Holiday

Well my summer holiday is here at last. The weather is not to bad either, it's much cooler and a bit of rain now and again, which I don't mind at all! Not that I'm going away or anything, just the thought of not having to work for the next two weeks should be relaxing enough. I say should because I always need time to adjust the first few days.
And what do I do on my first day? I have already washed my windows (even though it was supposed to rain) and now I'm sitting at my laptop. I really need to think of what it was I wanted to do... Relax, read loads of books and go away on some daytrips by train. But for now... Just go with the flow...
