Tiny snail

Last week when it was drizzling outside I looked up from my book to see a brave tiny snail in with a bright orange-brown shell, making its way across one way of the fench to the other. Surely but slowly in the drizzle. I  had to go outside to take some pictures of it of course.

To a butterfly (2)

Last Tuesday I finally had a meeting with one of my first online friends Melody in her favourite place; Wildlands Adventure Zoo Emmen. Not only was it great to finally meet her in person but the place where we met was gorgeous! I adore animals and here the animals have so much space!
Where the butterflies were flying all around you; I think that might be my favourite spot of the whole Zoo...

In Spring there are a lot of caterpillar's and sometimes they hang on a thin thread from a tree while I walk the dog. Apparently I had brought one home with me because after walking the dog it fell from my hair onto the book I was reading. Looked like he was a bookworm like I am too! ;) Or an Outlander fan as well. :)

This Thursday Challenge is about; TINY (Small things, Short, Children, Animals, Insects,...)

When the leaves are coming back on my birch these fellows are coming back as well; the leaf miners. 

 This is a caterpillar miner 

 they roll themselves up in a leaf

 some kind of beatle miner

This is a whole different kind of miner, so tiny you can hardly see it with your bare eyes. They eat a way through two layers of the leaf with this result.
